  • Antwain Brit, a former Ultimate Fighter contestant will fight for Strikeforce in April. No opponent has been named yet for the already loaded show. Gegard Mousasi v. King Mo, Dan Henderson v. Jake Shields, and Fedor v. Febricio Werdum headline and incredible show.
  • Yoshihiro Akiyama is rumored to face the winner of the Bisping v. Silva fight on a future UFC show in Japan.
  • Charlie Brenneman, a 170# welterweight has signed with the UFC.
  • Martin Kampman has been forced to pull out of UFC 111 due to a nasty cut that required several stitches. Jake Ellenberger will replace Kampman.
  • The Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell war of words continues to escalate. Liddell and Dana White both deny Chuck had a drinking problem and accuse Ortiz of talking smack to get attention to which Liddell commented that Ortiz was “going to get hurt.” Ortiz is claiming he was in a bad place mentally during the first two fights with Liddell and to expect a different outcome this time.
  • Josh Koscheck has said, via Twitter, that he would put up 100K of his own money that he would be the hell out of Tito Ortiz.  I would take some of that, I hate Tito Ortiz.
  • Fedor will be taking part in the World Combat Sambo Championship February 19-22 in Russia. Fedor’s brother Aleksander will also be fighting in the heavyweight division.
  • Nate Marquardt and Chael Sonnen were both among a number of fighters who were given medical suspensions after a brutal UFC 109.
  • WEC star Urijah Faber has been talking smack about jumping weight and possibly stepping into the cage with BJ Penn and Tyson Griffin.
  • Tim Credeur v. Tom Lawler will battle at UFC 113.
  • Stephan Bonnar may be on his way out of the UFC is he drops another fight, specifically to Krzysztof Soszynski at UFC 110 in Australia.
  • Sources close to UFC President Dana White have confirmed that Mark Coleman has been cut. It is thought Strikeforce is interested in the fighter.
  • Spike TV is elated over the almost two million viewers that the UFC 109 prelims drew to the channel.
